Gilly spent five years studying voice at the Royal Academy of Music in London, followed by a number of years trying (and failing) to make enough money singing professionally! Returning to her Cheshire roots, she joined Knutsford Amateur Operatic Society where she enjoyed playing a number of principal roles in musicals, including: My Fair Lady, Annie, Carousel, High Society, and The King and I. It has been a few years since she has performed as an actor, and without her major prop of a good song, Gilly is hoping she can do the rote of Ruth some justice.
