Martina’s interest in theatre started at the Liverpool Playhouse in the early 80’s and included a very memorable trip to Ukraine to attend a drama festival. After moving to Runcorn, she joined the Frodsham Players briefly before other commitments took her to an amateur theatre company in Preston, where she won a comedy award for her portrayal of a Goose! Back in Runcorn, she performed in many musicals before returning to the Frodsham Players to play a Horse in Wind in the Willows. After assisting backstage for a few productions, she has now played a Duck in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Brenda in Tim Firth’s Calendar Girls, an officer in The Comedy of Errors, and most recently, a constable in Accidental Death of an Anarchist.
