Audition Notice – A Man For All Seasons
Calling all eager actors – whether you are a budding talent or a seasoned star! The Frodsham Players’ next show will be Robert Bolt’s A Man For All Seasons.
Auditions will be held at Manor House School in Frodsham at 7.30pm on Sunday 5 January and Tuesday 7 January. Performances will be 1-4 April in Frodsham Community Centre.
If you have been watching the latest series of Wolf Hall, some of the action depicted in this fabulous play will be familiar to you. This tense play of conscience and intrigue charts the rise and fall of Sir Thomas More, Lord Chancellor of England, as he enters into a political and moral conflict with his king, Henry VIII, over the matter of his divorce from Catherine of Aragon. Torn between his love of his country, his deep Catholic faith, and most importantly his need to be true to himself, More becomes a martyr and one of modern drama’s greatest tragic heroes.
