Her interest in theatre started at the Liverpool Playhouse in the early 80’s and included a very memorable trip to Ukraine to attend a drama festival. After moving to Runcorn, she joined the Frodsham Players briefly before other commitments took her to an amateur theatre company in Preston, where she won a NODA comedy award for her portrayal of a Goose! Back in Runcorn, she performed in many musicals, before returning to the Frodsham Players to play a Horse in Wind in the Willows, a Duck in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and an Officer in The Comedy of Errors. She recently assisted backstage as a ‘Bletchley Girl’ in Breaking the Code, played a policeman in Accidental Death of an Anarchist, and Porthos in The Three Musketeers.
