Thoughts from Derinda Watson, Director
Alan Ayckbourn wrote Confusions, a suite of five plays, three of which we are performing tonight, as long ago as 1974, but satirising as they do timeless aspects of human nature they are as telling satirically, and as funny, as ever. The plays were originally performed by a company of five, who each played several parts. We have chosen to use twelve actors, each assigned to one part, an arrangement which perhaps makes for less confusion!
